Previewing the new Marliyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon exhibit @academymuseum.

I’ve always been fascinated by modern folklore and how a person becomes a legend, and nobody from the past century captures that transformation quite like Marilyn Monroe.

The exhibit runs from May 30th 2026- February 2027, so check it out while you can!

After spending so much time restoring my furniture, I need to use a product I trust to maintain it. That’s why I use @scottsliquidgold. #ad

It’s been trusted for over 50 years, and for good reason. It brings life back into the wood, helps maintain the finish, and keeps these pieces looking their best for years to come.

For this collaboration, I used archival audio and footage from a Scott’s Liquid Gold ad made in the 1970s. Everything they promised back then still holds true today. There’s something special about a product that’s remained trusted across generations.

Got a tintype portrait taken by @moderntintype.photo. It was such a beautiful experience getting to see, and be seen by, a photography process that began in the 1850s. While modern cameras are infinitely easier to use, there’s something powerful about the permanence and singularity of a tintype image.

Kyle William is a Los Angeles–based designer and restoration specialist with a background in set design for film and television. He holds a BFA from NYU and completed interior architecture training at UCLA, with additional experience shadowing AD100 designer Timothy Corrigan. Drawing from historical references, his work focuses on creating layered, enduring interiors that prioritize craftsmanship and character over trends.
